Dancing Dots Video
This one minute video beautifully illustrates just how little voting across party lines occurs in Congress anymore, and how much things have deteriorated in the last few decades. The video creates a visual for the research of David Lee, Marcus J. Hamilton, Mauro Martino, Christian E. Gunning, and John Armistead Selden, who quantify and visualize House partisanship in their paper “The Rise of Partisanship and Super-Cooperators in the U.S. House of Representatives.” (“This 60-second animation shows how divided Congress has become over the last 60 years.” YouTube, uploaded by Business Insider, 11 May 2016) [link here]
